Where were you born? Colorado
What brought you to Eugene? The charm of the college town and the beauty and adventure that Oregon offers.
One fun fact about you: The year before starting grad school, I quit my job and traveled to New Zealand with my husband and a few friends to live out of a van and get to know the beautiful country and people.
What career did you have before becoming a full time mom? I'm a neuroscientist! I was conducting biomedical research in a university lab in my first career. I completed my PhD a few months before my second child was born.
Song/Music/Artist or Genre: Indie Rock, though I will always have a soft spot for 90s pop
Activity with your kids: Exploring! I love to just get out and wander.
Activity without your kids: Running or bar trivia with my husband

Most embarrassing moment: Honestly, I don't want to share my most embarrassing moment on the internet. Just trust me - it was embarrassing. Luckily there haven't been too many... Maybe you'll get it out of me at a MNO someday.
Morning or night person? Morning. I love the early morning hours before the rest of the world really gets moving.
Have a celebrity crush? Not really, but I had a huge crush on George Clooney in my teen years (I was obsessed with ER re-runs). Now I probably have a bigger crush on his amazing wife.
What makes you laugh? Witty humor and pretty much everything my 3yo says
A future goal: To run a sub 3 hour marathon
If you coulddo whatever you wanted, with all of the time and money in the world, what would you do and who would you do it with? Travel the world slowly and thoroughly. We'd start in the US because there are so many amazing places we have yet to visit. I'd bring my husband and kids along for the whole trip and have my parents and sisters join in for parts.
And finally, your favorite thing in the whole wide glorious world. What brings you the most joy? My family. Especially time with my family on a lazy weekend morning with no plans.
